Beacon Gives Back In 2021
Sean Valk

This year, we’re so happy to have the opportunity to present donations to two worthy organizations. Our Beacon® Impatiens brand and parent breeding company PanAmerican Seed have provided a donation to charities in The Netherlands and Canada to help fight Pulmonary Fibrosis, a progressive and deadly lung disease.

This year’s charitable give-back reached $81,000! The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (CPFF) and the Dutch Association of Pulmonary Fibrosis Patients (Pendersfonds) each received a check for $40,725 (US) on behalf of PanAmerican Seed and Beacon Impatiens.

Both the CPFF in Canada and Pendersfonds in The Netherlands work to support people living with the disease, as well as provide education and advocacy to ensure access to quality healthcare.

As part of a dedicated mission to “shine the light” on worthy but less-widely known charitable organizations, we have committed to supporting a new charity each year. Your enjoyment of Beacon Impatiens in your garden helps us support these worthy causes.

A new charity will be announced soon for 2022. Be on the lookout for the announcement and How you can help us to ‘shine the light’ on lesser known issues.
