Beacon Shines the Light on Friedreich’s ataxia
Did you know that Beacon® Impatiens supports an underserved charity each year?
We’re happy to announce that this year we’ll be supporting – and shining the light on – Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), which affects one in 40,000 people worldwide. This disease is a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA – US) and Friedreich Ataxia Research Association (fara – Australia) are two foundations that provide fundraising, support and education to their members.
Both of these charitable groups also invest in scientific research leading to treatments and cures for FA. So in the spirit of bringing light to wonderful causes like this, and to gardens everywhere, PanAmerican Seed will raise awareness to these important, less-widely known, organizations.
