IN THE NEWS: Greenhouse Grower Magazine feat. Dr. Allan Armitage
The team behind Beacon Impatiens has been committed to supporting worthy charities and organizations since our colorful, resilient flowers first came on the gardening scene in 2020. After so many years of collaborating and donating, you'd think we'd become a bit used to the cadence of our partnerships.
But I have to tell you: It never gets old! We at PanAmerican Seed LOVE to feel the excitement and warmth from finishing a gardening season and presenting our donation to the folks making a difference in the lives of their communities.
This year, I'd like to call special attention to a beautiful op-ed written by one of our esp, Inc. partner advocates, Dr. Allan Armitage. Dr. A is an icon in our greenhouse industry and has been teacher, communicator, and philosopher of sorts when it comes to the vibe of the business of breeding-and-selling flowers.
He is a regular contributor to Greenhouse Grower magazine, a publication that serves horticulture businesses. And he recently penned an article that sums-up what it means to garden, to support spreading joy, and to be a someone who cares for their fellow human.
It was Dr. A who brought esp, Inc. to our attention when we were choosing our 2025 charity partner, and we couldn't be happier to bring awareness to the cause he and many others in Georgia (and beyond!) support.
All I can do now is share the link below to his column in his Dec. 24, 2025, post on greenhousegrower.com -- and pass you a tissue because it certainly had us feeling all types of emotion!

Thank you, gardeners, for YOUR continued excitement for flowers and particularly for Beacon Impatiens. We vow to continue
