Are you a beginner to Impatiens or just need a quick refresher on your favorite shady flowers? We’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of 4 Do’s and 4 Don’ts when planting your Beacon® Impatiens that will take you from the start of the season to well into the first frost.

The 4 Do's:

  1. Do Plant 6-8 inches apart.
  2. Do Plant in combos for shady spaces.
  3. Do Plant under a tree for an interesting visual effect. Beacon Impatiens love the shade.
  4. Do combine Beacon colors with other bold foliage and grasses that thrive in the shade.

The 4 Don'ts:

  1. Do NOT plant in combos that include Full Sun plant varieties.
  2. Do NOT let your Beacon Impatiens dry out. They like moist soil, well-drained soil.
  3. Do NOT be afraid of planting Beacon Impatiens in full shade. They were meant to thrive here.
  4. Do NOT worry about Impatiens downy mildew (IDM) when planting Beacon Impatiens. Our flowers are trialed and tested and are highly resistant to IDM, while offering color that lasts through the season without the risk of disease in your shade gardens and containers.
